Mom’s Day Rosé
The dollar store is a gold mine. Now granted, I decided this after happy hour and after I was more than slightly buzzed, but I’m sticking to it. Not only did I score several unneeded kitchen items and a purse pistol that shoots light, but I also found popsicle molds! And what timing, wine pops will make a perfect (boozy) treat for Mother’s Day.
Lavender Rosé Popsicles
Bottle of Rosé
⅔ cup Lavender & Lemon Simple Syrup
½ cup Water (I know, I know!)
Fresh Fruit (Strawberries, Blueberries, Raspberries, etc.)
It’s too good to be true, right? But it’s not! I made these with just four ingredients. Combine the rosé, simple syrup and water. Can you believe I added water to a cocktail? I can’t either, BUT it freezes better and stays frozen longer in the sun with water. I made a set without (of course) and it was quickly a mess, so we must. (Grumble, grumble.) Pour into molds leaving room at the top for fresh fruit of your choosing. Place in freezer and wait. (This is the hardest part ☺)
The lavender flavor in this popsicle is delightful! Pair these popsicles with the gift of a lavender plant and what a fun surprise for Mom’s Day.
Add 1½ cup vodka to this recipe and replace the Lavender & Lemon Syrup with Simple Syrup to create another yummy treat with a little more punch. And I bet you can talk dad into getting involved by adding gin ? I replaced the bottle of rosé with prosecco added 1½ cups gin, ⅔ cup simple syrup, water and fresh lime juice in the one below.
Happy Mother’s Day, Mom and to all of my friends who have kids and never cease to impress me with their harrowing schedules and endless motherly love. And you too, all those with fur babies! (Dog moms, cat moms, etc.) Shocks assured me that I’ve picked up enough poop to deserve some sort of award. The first time Mother’s Day rolled around after we rescued Cooper, he surprised me with the cutest card ever. Melt. (Pun intended, teehee.)
I have so many more ideas for cocktail popsicles that my head is spinning. So, don’t worry, I’ll have more recipes coming your way in the future. But for now, I have poop to pick up.
Have a wonderful Mom’s Day all you incredibles!
Splish Splash!
Keep your heels, head and standards high and your home a happy one.
